“I Pushed My 9 lbs Son Out In One Single Push – In Less Than 30 Seconds”

Always find happiness in the process of change.

In June 2021, Yanyah Milutinovic gave birth to her youngest child named Vuk, having stayed fit as possible throughout the pregnancy. The fitness addict experienced labor for a total of seven hours but pushed her 9lbs son out in one single push and less than 30 seconds.

Yanyah Milutinovic trained throughout her pregnancy.

It was a remarkable experience, and indeed the 34-Year-Old was so proud of herself and her body. After giving birth, Yanyah struggled to get off the sofa without help but was keen to begin exercise again to push her body to even greater limits. And so, the influencer started doing breathing exercises and pelvic floor workouts.

The workout paid off as she pushed her newly born 9lbs son out in one single push and less than 30 seconds.

Two and a half weeks postpartum, Yanyah went back to exercising and working on her strength. Her focus was on her healing and physical performance and not on the aesthetics in postpartum. In the last four months, she has safely rebuilt her strength and even surpassed her in many lifts, lifting heavier than what she ever has in her life.

Five weeks after giving birth, Yanyah went into squatting with over 100kg, and six months after giving birth, she’s now squatting nearly 200 kilograms. Interestingly, the fitness addict, living with her husband Risel Martinez, 31, and daughter Smiljana, 3, has beaten her pre-pregnancy record. From not picking anything off the floor, Yanyah now deadlifts 315lbs or ten repetitions easily.

Weeks postpartum, Yanyah focused on her healing and physical performance, not aesthetics.

In the last four months, she has rebuilt her strength, lifting heavier than what she ever has in her life.

“My goal was to squat 225lbs, which I reached at five weeks postpartum. And my second goal was 315lbs, which I reached at nine weeks postpartum. Then at five months postpartum, I squatted 405lbs for one rep; and had my big total, which was squat, deadlift, and chest press within 60minutes at 920lbs.”

Having given birth to two children, Yanyah’s message to new mothers is that working on the pelvic floor throughout pregnancy will help with incontinence. Yanyah didn’t restrict any food in terms of diet but urged focus on eating protein-rich meals to fuel the body for heavy lifting. She also encouraged new moms not to rush to lose weight after pregnancy.

Yanyah’s message to new moms is that working on the pelvic floor amid pregnancy will help with incontinence.

She explained: “The truth is that most women lose muscle mass in pregnancy, and the overall body composition changes never like before. Instead of focusing on weight loss, be patient and accept your current physique and circumstances, focus on rebuilding your body and on the overall bigger picture, get your functional strength back safely.” However, Yanyah has been a victim of cruel trolls after sharing her fitness journey on Instagram.

She also encouraged new moms not to rush to lose weight after pregnancy.

She gets rude comments like ‘You’re fat,’ You’re disgusting, and you gained a lot of weight. But so far, the positive remarks have been uplifting, especially as many women and mothers find inspiration, motivation, encouragement, and even empowerment in what Yanyah does. In all, she believes it’s essential to remind oneself of how amazing our body is and what it has accomplished.
