Bride Reads Fiancé’s Cheating Texts Instead Of Wedding Vows
A painful, but better ending.
A woman on the night she was going to be married to someone she thought was the ‘one’ was not spared from the pain from heartbreak. Casey, who was hanging out with her bridesmaids, suddenly received a barrage of messages from an unknown number.
Her friend teased her, “Phone is running hot tonight.”
Unbeknownst to her, those messages would change the course of her life significantly – for the better.
She read the message that caught her by surprise, “I wouldn’t marry him. Will you?”
What follows was a series of screenshots of text messages exchanged between her fiancé to someone she didn’t know. And the content was so inappropriately lewd she knew immediately what it meant. Casey learned her fiancé was cheating on her the night before their union.
She shared, “Every word like a dagger in my heart and my wedding was only hours away. How could I cancel when everyone had already traveled to be there, and everything was paid for?”
The ship had sunk before it even sailed. But Casey wasn’t about to go down alone.
“My girls were threatening all manner of violence against him. They insisted I call him immediately and call the wedding off,” she recalled. But she knew better than making hasty decisions and told them all to just sleep it off. Despite saying that herself, she ended up sleep-deprived the next day.
Sleep-deprived, but decided: revenge is due!
There will be no union!
“I arrived at the front of the room, took a big breath, and I faced our friends, our parents, and I told them the truth about Alex.”
She recalled the things she said, “There will be no wedding today. It seems Alex is not who I thought he is.”
Then, she read the text messages her fiancé received, “This weekend. You and I. It is on hot stuff. Bring your A-game.”
Then, his reply, “Your body is f***ing incredible. And sh*t do you know how to use it. I wish my GF had half the skills you do.”
“I miss you so much. I can’t stop thinking about L, S, F’ing you. I’ve never had this kind of connection before,” she finished with tears in her eyes as she looked at the man.
A guest confirmed what happened.
Indeed, the groom walked out of the venue; shame flashed on his face. His best men followed him from behind, and eventually, his brother.
She reminded everyone else, however, including the man’s ‘horrified’ family members, “I love all of you, and as horrible as this is, I’m glad you all are here. There will not be a wedding reception today, but instead, there will be a celebration of honesty, finding true love, and following your heart even when it hurts.”
