Real-Life Barbie Who Lost 14st Says She ‘Loves’ Herself Even At 90Kgs Heavier

“That almost 350lb body never failed me!”

Australian influencer Kayla Lavende has always loved Barbie and dresses like one every day. Cute dresses, pink jackets, and mini handbags were all the typical kinds of outfits she’d worn.

She has also shed over 90 kilograms which made finding the clothes and bikinis she wants much easier!

Kayla was always open about her plastic surgery and weight loss journey. The Australian started it all with a gastric sleeve surgery in 2018 and was invited to The Morning Show to talk about what motivated her to do it.

“I needed two seats, I needed a seatbelt extender; it was horrible and definitely the wake-up call that I needed,” she revealed.

Now based in the US, the influencer also added that she’s tried using diets and going to nutritionists, but they hadn’t helped much with the weight loss. And that was how she decided to remove a huge chunk of her stomach and began her journey.

“After the surgery, I felt excited and like a brand new woman with the fresh start that I needed. I had a lot of mental clarity,” shared the influencer.

“But I knew that was not the be-all and end-all. I knew I had to change my whole lifestyle. Obviously, because of the surgery, my portions were a lot smaller. However, I learned all about nutrition and what my body needed versus what I wanted.”

All of this was told to 7Life, and she further added, “I eliminated carbs, sugar, and processed foods. I incorporated higher protein foods, and meal prepped. I also started working out every day.”

After four years of strict diet and intense workout routine, she achieved her dream body of a Barbie doll.

While her appearance may have extremely changed, she revealed that she’d never hated her own body even before the weight loss. Besides the convenience of no longer having to ask for seatbelt extenders and finding clothes that fit her, she’s always one to tell people to love themselves in all shapes.

And she’s definitely more confident now as she used to “never showed” her “arms in public.”

In a shot where she wore a summer dress with cutouts around the sides, she wrote, “I am proud of my body and what it has done for me.”

“That almost 350lb body never failed me! it got me where I am today, and I’m not stopping here. Friendly reminder to love your body at every stage of your journey,” she shared with her followers.
