“I Was On Love Island But Now I Have Side Hustle That’s Earned Me Enough To Buy My Dream House”
Kaila’s life has changed a lot financially.
At the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, Kaila Troy launched into OnlyFans. She couldn’t believe her luck when €200 landed in her bank account just days after setting the page up. Fast forward to now, the model boasts over 560K and says she could 100% buy a house, thanks to the cash she raked in from the adult site.
The 29-Year-Old had a stint on the reality TV show Love Island last summer but works modeling/DJ-ing.
She had been urged to set up an account by her friend, and at the time, Kaila alleged she had no idea the site was known for X-rated content. “My life has changed a lot financially. It’s changed in ways I never thought it would; it’s a lot more comfortable now. It was just a side hustle during the pandemic, I didn’t realize this would become my main source of income,” Kaila, who lives in Chicago with her sister Catherine said.
She added: “I don’t like speaking about how much I make on it, but I’m living comfortably over here. You see the money coming in, and you’re like, ‘oh, this is a good day.”
“In the first two to three days, I remember seeing 200 or 300 dollars in my account, and I was like, ‘oh, this actually does make money. It was a weird moment to see that. I looked at my sister and I said, ‘Catherine, I just made 200 dollars’. I remember thinking, I’m going to keep going with this, because it works.” According to The Sun, the Dublin-based explained she had friends & people on Instagram saying she’s doing nudes.
And as a result of the comments, she started researching and realized the platform wasn’t like any other social media platform.
While the adult site is known for its raunchy content, Kaila says her posts are far from X-rated. She insisted: “I wouldn’t do nude photos, it’s not me, really there’s no need to do it. I say to people all the time, if that’s what you want to do, fine, but you don’t need to do that to make money. It’s mostly bikini photos, a range of different photos, DJ videos, workout videos, holiday vlogs, bikini stuff on holidays, that kind of thing.”
Turns out that Kaila’s parents, who still reside in Malahide, fully support her OnlyFans page. Her mum helped reply to some of her fans when she appeared in Love Island’s Casa Amor midway through 2021’s series.
However, the model says she could easily give up her day job as a DJ; thanks to the earnings she makes from OnlyFans, her love for music is her number one priority. She’s planning to visit home this month before heading off to a gig in Europe and Dubai; then, she’ll head back stateside and move to Los Angeles. Kaila says her OnlyFans paycheck will cover a swanky new pad in Hollywood.
She said: “Oh, 100 percent. I’m planning to buy a house this year, but the hard part is deciding where for me.”
