Harry Potter Spin-Off Sequel Is Finally In The Works As Filming Starts
Yea it’s actually happening!
It’s official! The Warner Bros. is moving forward with Harry Potter spin-Off sequel: Fantastic Beasts 3. Giving green light, the studio is set to begin filming in Spring 2020 with a story shifting to Brazil.

With the November 12, 2021 release date, earlier reported in April, comedian and actor, Jessica Wiliams, playing Professor Eulalie “Lally” Hicks has a bigger role this time around. The teacher at the Ilvermony School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was featured briefly in Fantastic Beast: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Other regular casts set to return are Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore, Johnny Deep as Gellert Grindelwald, Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalksi, Katherine Waterson as Tina Goldstein, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein and Ezra Miller as Credence/Aurelius Dumbledore.
Other regular casts set to return are Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore and Johnny Deep as Gellert Grindelwald among others
David Yates will be back to direct the film while Author J.K Rowling, the creator of the Harry Potter Universe will be writing the screenplay with Steve Kloves. Previously, Kloves had written the screenplay adaptations for 7 of the 8 Harry Potter movies, except for Harry and the Order of the Phoenix.

Earlier, Fantastic Beasts 3 was officially slated for filming in July 2019, but much time was needed to prepare. Both Where To Find Them and Fantastic Beasts was a hit at the box office with $814million worldwide and $234 million domestic.

And regarding the story of the new film, no information has been given and it’s still unclear as to why Lally Hicks has a bigger role. The 1st Fantastic Beasts film was set in NYC, the 2nd was in Paris and now the 3rd is slated for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Williams has had a busy year, starring in Booksmart and Corporate Animals on the big screen
