15 Women Who Proudly Show What It’s Like To Be Pregnant With Multiples

Your normal won’t be everybody else’s normal!

Pregnancy is different for every woman, and it’s always a profoundly transformative experience. Within a matter of months, a woman’s body is transformed into a vessel for a life to gestate and grow. At the same time, the body is doing the tasking work of preparing for the intensive experience of giving birth, including feeding a newborn. Interestingly, a woman’s identity changed as well. Isn’t pregnancy fascinating?

Being pregnant is undeniably exciting and beautiful, but it turns, it can also be both exhausting and overwhelming. And yes, being pregnant with twins, triplets, or even multiples comes with many special circumstances. Yearly, more than three in a hundred women are pregnant with multiples, and throughout the 40 weeks of pregnancy, there are inevitable highs and lows. These women [compiled below] and their stories deserve applause for housing more than a human at a time. Have a look and enjoy!

Charlotte’s Triplets Were Born At 34 Weeks.

“If you’re wondering what it looked like being pregnant with triplets. Well, like this! This was at 30 weeks, and they were born at 34 weeks by c section, 1 minute apart, in hospital for three weeks and then home to where the fun began.”

20 Weeks Pregnant With Twins.

I was smiling in this photo, but gosh, it was such a horrible pregnancy. I felt sick literally every day, was aching from about 20 weeks pregnant, and was full of constant worry as one of the twins didn’t move much towards the end. But hey ho, my beautiful twins are here now and were worth every ache, pain, and emotion that I went through during the pregnancy and traumatic birth.”

Danish mum Michella Meier-Morsi left people stunned with her 35-week baby bump while being pregnant with triplets.

Cicely’s Twins Were Born At About 37 Weeks.

“Go ahead, ask me how I went from ‘that’ to ‘this’….. I know, I’m amazed too!!!! Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t, BECAUSE YOU CAN!!”

Postpartum Body: 6 Stages From 1 To 52 Weeks After Birth.

“Today, I am left with the typical mom body: Deflated boobs (I have gone down a cup size in bras), saggy belly with lots of excess skin, less tight butt, lack of muscles everywhere but the upper arms, hair loss, more visible veins on my thighs, and the list goes on. I can wear all of my old clothes again, but not all of them fit as well as they did before. In the end, it all comes down to finding clothes you feel good in, surrounding yourself with nice people, and finding self-confidence in other things than the undressed body in the mirror.”

Hayley’s Triplets Were Born At 33 Weeks.

“One year ago. Mid contraction. 30 weeks pregnant. Lookin’ like 50. Feelin’ like 8476325896864.”

Wanda Gave Birth To Her Twins At 35 Weeks.

“You see, I battled with myself when the stretch marks first developed. Why? Because all over Instagram, I saw beautiful, CLEAR pregnant bellies. It made me feel like I was the only one developing so many so soon. On top of that, I encountered a rude ultrasound tech who literally told me I needed to oil more because they were “so bad. Never allow a false image of perfection to prevent you from seeing the beauty in your humanity. Your normal won’t be everybody else’s normal, but that doesn’t make it any less beautiful! Enjoy and celebrate YOUR journey!”

Triplet Girls Judit, Sofia, Szilvia Were Born At About 35 Weeks.

“I was told that I did not need to be worried, but that it was time for a steroid injection which will enhance the babies’ lungs maturity. The steroid I got usually improves the blood flow, and it might give some extra days for the babies before they’ll have to come out. Everyone keeps telling me that 33 weeks’ gestational age is great, so I am trying to think positive and hoping that everything will go fine with all 3.”

Maria’s Triplets Were Born Two Days After This Photo – At 35 Weeks.

“What a journey this has been! Nothing like the ordinary. I’m glad we took these pictures because this collage really shows the massive growth. It’s strange to have ended up with such a big belly, and it’s even stranger that it can stand out like that without falling down!”

Roxanne’s Triplets Were Delivered Four Days After This Video.

“I’m pretty embarrassed to share this, but I can’t get over the size of my belly in this video. It looks like a big giant boob, and my belly button looks painful. We took this to someday show our kids where they were located in mommy’s belly.”

Betsy’s Triplets Were Born Were Full Term And Went Home Two Days After Birth.

“These pics were taken two days apart. Neither of them perfectly staged or lit, both of them perfectly reflective of the miracle of pregnancy and beginning life with multiples! To all of you parents who are expecting twins or triplets, these photos show just the beginning! What a magnificent change your family will experience!”

Erin Delivered Her Triplets Vaginally At 36 Weeks.

“When you delivered thriving (no NICU) triplets vaginally at 36 weeks, people ask you questions and send you a lot of messages. Mostly the answer to all of them is that God is good!”

Sierra’s Twins Were Born Around 37 Weeks.

Lindsay’s Quads Were Born At 31 Weeks.

“We haven’t had a growth scan since 27+5, but the babes all look great (cord flow, placentas, fluid, and heart rates), and it’s truly a miracle we have surpassed the average gestation for quads! I will never forget my infertility doc telling me I would never be able to grow four babies with my frame, and I will always be grateful we didn’t listen.”
