‘The View’ Hosts Slammed For $14,000 A Night Luxury Bahamas Getaway

“Money wasted in a time where things are tight.”

The hosts of “The View” had their share of scandals in the past, and the newest is that of a $14,000 per night luxury vacation in the Bahamas. The women have been recording their show from the luxury resort, reportedly made up of three hotels, including Rosewood, SLS, and Grand Hyatt.

The Sun reported that the Rosewood is the most expensive of the three, with an Oceanside six-bedroom villa setting customers back at $14,358.

Accordingly, the three-bedroom penthouse suite costs $12,358 per night, and a one-bedroom ocean-view suite runs $2577 per night. In their recent episode, the ladies – Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, and recurring guest Ana Navarro, alongside alum Sherri Shephard revealed they’d taken advantage of all the amenities the resort has to offer, including cocktails at Manor Bar in Rosewood.

While on the show, Haines, 44, and Hostin, 53, were seen as they hit the waterparks, engaging in competitive activities.

As they celebrated 25years of the show, photos also showed the ladies hitting the resort pools, with a colossal 15-acre water park, a five-star spa, and several restaurants and excursion options. Despite the needed getaway, the hosts have since faced backlash for touting their stay at Baha Mar.

“Awwww. How nice. Those who are struggling to put food on their tables and gas in their cars can see a vacation spot firsthand on TV,” someone wrote on Twitter.

Another said: “Good for them. Money is wasted in a time when things are tight. But you all have a great time there.” While a third added: “Great visual. Living it up in the Bahamas while the average Joe [and] Jane can’t afford to fill up their car with gas.” In response, a spokesperson for The View has said: “No one was staying in a $14K per night penthouse. The story is false and made up.”

Back in February, Goldberg, 66, had been suspended from the ABC network after her controversial comments about the Holocaust. Then in March 2021, Behar, 79, suffered a dramatic fall, face-planting in front of the audience. However, the show itself has been struggling to find a conservative voice after Abby Huntsman, Jedediah Bila, and Meghan McCain left in recent years due to conflict with the other left-wing hosts.
