Taylor Swift Says She Loves Teaching ‘Men How To Apologize’

“I love to tell them step-by-step.” “I just love the idea of men apologizing.”

The eighth studio album, Folklore, is inspired by Taylor Swift’s imagination instead of her life. And in one of her songs titled “It’s Kind Of My Thing,” the Bad Blood songstress opened up about a recurring theme as she candidly spoke to her 70,000 fans at State Farm Stadium with a guitar in her arms.

The recurring theme in the music is that the 33-year-old, who rocked a pink rhinestone leotard and belted out a 44-song set list, loves to explain to men how to apologize.

To write Folklore, the hitmaker, as per the DailyMail, shared she used a different approach, including crafting characters and storylines instead of her experiences.

“With [folklore], I thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be so fun to create characters and storylines? They’ll live in different times, and they’ll do all these things: fall in love, hurt each other, go to war, and all these things.’ “So, I created all these characters,” she explained of the album released in 2020.

Per footage posted to Twitter, the 12-time Grammy Winner was seen quite keen about how she loves teaching men how to apologize.

Having kicked off her record-breaking Eras Tour in Glendale, Arizona, the superstar told fans: “So, sort of a recurring theme in my music is that I love to explain to me how to apologize. I just love it. It’s kind of my thing. I love to tell them step-by-step. Here’s how simple this is to fix things if you just follow these easy steps that I’m laying out for you in a three-minute song. I just love the idea of men apologizing.”

She further told her massive audience: “[My songs are] kind of like journaling for you or something. [And] I wanted to do a different thing that I had done before [with Folklore].

Swift earned a thunderous clap and went on to describe the excruciatingly autobiographical nature of her first seven albums, likening them to live-streamed public autopsies. She explained: “You know, my albums have characteristically been, sort of excruciatingly autobiographical where, like, when I put out an album, it just feels like getting some sort of live-streamed, public autopsy.”

The megastar’s smash hit album Folklore featured characters inspired by the two daughters of her friends Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively – James, 7, and Betty, 3.

Swift wove the two characters into the song Betty, which revolves around a very romantic apology. She claimed: “This is a song about a teenage [boy] named James trying to apologize to the love of his life, and her name is Betty.” As she performed for over 3 hours Friday night, the chart-topper also belted out hits like Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince, Cruel Summer, and You Need to Calm Down from the Lover Era.

About an hour into her performance, Swift also told her audience, “Is it just me or do we have a lot of things to catch up on? It’s been a long time since I’ve been on tour.”

However, the mega superstar has been in a relationship with English actor Joe Alwyn, 32, since 2016[both pictured below]. Swift rarely discusses Alwyn but had given her handsome partner a sweet and subtle nod at a Grammy after-party in February when she wore his black leather jacket. Since then, the pair are intensely private about their life together.
