Rhian Sugden Stunned In A Daring Bikini As She Posted About 7th IVF Attempt Fails

The model took to Instagram to reveal the heartbreaking news that her newest round of IVF treatment is unsuccessful. Rhian Sugden and her husband Oliver Mellor have reportedly spent £75K trying to conceive, but remain one in 7 couples who have fertility issues. Despite the setback, the stunner has vowed to continue with treatment and has declared she was going to pick herself up and go again. 

As seen in her post, the heartbroken model, 36, put up a courageous face as she posed for sizzling snaps while reflecting on her journey to motherhood. 

She penned, ‘It’s been a hell of a month for me. It’s looking like IVF round 7 has failed. Please don’t message saying sorry, I know you mean well but it does get harder every time, I don’t want my barren ovaries being apologized too’. Rhian continued, ‘’I’m so thankful for everything in my life and I’m even more thankful for my mum who has made me into such a strong person. ‘I’m ok, I’m heartbroken but I have a lot of other amazing things happening around me. I’m a warrior and I WILL do this.’

This comes as the Glamour model stunned in a daring bikini as she posted throwback photos from her vacation in Crete. The khaki two-piece flaunted Rhian Sugden’s curvaceous physique, and it featured a plunging neckline, vibrant yellow and orange floral patterns, and a high-cut design. Rhian’s floral two-piece featuring also boasted an intricate strap detail across her toned torso as she posed for a selfie.

Her witty pun about the sun-drenched Greek island showed off her sense of humor as she wrote in the caption, ‘Greece is the word. Still pulling out my holiday pics from last week. Feta late than never. (Lols hard to self).’ Rhian had earlier wowed a sizzling selfie in a tiny green bikini. The string bikini top barely contained her impressive bust, while low-slung bottoms showed her toned stomach. 

For the green bikini look, the blonde beauty opted for no makeup and shielded her eyes with oversized black sunglasses. Delicate accessories, including hoop earrings, a dainty bracelet, and gold rings, added elegance. 

The new post comes as open her struggles with an eating disorder, which were triggered by the stress of IVF treatment and her mother’s battle with bowel cancer. She described how the stress led her to consume half a banana and a small piece of chocolate per day, as eating made her feel as if she were “choking.” Rhian, with the support of her husband Oliver Mellor, has since undergone six unsuccessful rounds of IVF, dreaming of having four or five little boys. 

The model now feels lucky to have just one child after spending £75,000 trying to conceive. 

Rhian admitted to losing more than two stone when she developed a fear of eating. She explained, ‘Last year was the year from hell. I’m in a much better place now but in the summer, I was so anxious that I felt full all the time and every time I tried to eat, I felt like I was being strangled. It was a really horrible choking sensation and for about three months I lived on a square of chocolate and half a banana every day.’

In 2019, Rhian announced she wanted to start the in-vitro fertilization process after she was told by doctors, she has an egg count of someone at least 13 years older. ‘I was told that I may never be a mum and I’m heartbroken. Doctors said I have the egg count of a woman over 45, meaning it’s unlikely I would ever conceive naturally. It also means the odds of getting pregnant by IVF have gone down from 30 per cent to two per cent – which was pretty devastating to hear.’

In September 2021 following the failure of her fourth round of IVF, Rhian also shared, ‘Been feeling blue. Had a hell of a tough few weeks. For those that have been following my journey… IVF round 4 failed, but it’s now time for me to pick myself up and carry on! Being in the public eye and trying to keep a brave face on his harder than it looks but I’ve done it many times before and I will do it again.’

She continued ‘It’s time to stick on my best undies, get myself back to normal and get back behind that camera doing what makes me happy! Big shout out to my support network. You’re the best! #ivfwarrior [pineapple emoji]. [sic].’ However, Rhian on Mother’s Day posted a candid snap on her Instagram Story as she told of experiencing a hard day amid her fertility struggles. She was seen in tears in a selfie posted to her social media as she penned in the caption, ‘The reality of Mother’s Day for an IVF warrior. It’s hard.’
