Katy took to Instagram after the show to share photos of herself in the ensemble and cheekily wrote in a caption: ‘Orange u glad it was a great #idolfinale?’ Her fiancé, 46, showed support in the comments, writing twice; once to drop a flame emoji, and again to share a peach emoji. The singer’s followers didn’t hesitate to like the post more than 75,000 times within the first hour it was uploaded.

The California-bred singer-songwriter, however, protected her modesty by pairing the outfit with high-waisted orange briefs adorned with three flower-like accouterments set along the cutouts.

For her hair, the mom to two-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom had her lengthy raven locks down but styled with an undefined side part as one side cascaded. The Katheryn Hudson-born actress further accessorized with diamond stud earrings and her oval-cut ruby engagement ring. Her nails were manicured in a baby pink hue, which coordinated with her pedicure.

Katy also shared behind-the-scenes footage from the show. In one of her posts, she uploaded video clips with guest performer Ellie Goulding.

The caption read: ‘I ♥️ when my fav pop girlies visit me at work! @elliegoulding live on #IDOLFINALE ON RN WATCH N VOTE.’ Another post showed her posing backstage with finalist Haven Madison, who she performed with amid the three-hour conclusion. She wrote to fans, ‘#idolfinale with @havenmadisonsings,’ and added an emoji with hands forming a heart shape.

However, Iam Tongi has officially crowned the winner on the live finale, which aired on ABC.

‘You did it. You’re the idol,’ host Ryan Seacrest, 48, told Iam following the result of nationwide voting. The 18-year-old high school student then stepped onto the stage, delivering a rendition of “Don’t Let Go” by Spawnbreezie with his family waving their hands from the audience. The crowds loudly cheered for him as confetti fell from the ceiling and other top 12 contestants ran to the stage to huge Iam as well as joined him to sing.

The show indeed commenced with an electrifying performance by Pitbull and the competing singer. It also featured a constellation of celebrated artists who took their turns to grace the stage, including the likes of REO Speedwagon, Kylie Minogue, TLC, Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, James Blunt, Lauren Daigle, Jazmine Sullivan, Clay Aiken, Ruben Studdard, and Keith Urban.
