On of the tigers, a Bengal wrapped its paws around Perry’s leg and dragged her to the ground while another pounced on her pulling at her with its claws.
Hurriedly, the Sanctuary staff pulled Perry out, but not before she suffered cuts and puncture injuries on her head and shoulder. Micheal Bradbury, an attorney for WEC, revealed that Ms. Perry, however, doesn’t believe the 600lb animals planned to harm her.

‘A lot of individuals I am sure that witnessed it was terrified thinking the worst. Perry said it was apparent they were playing with her because they do love her. She raised them from babies.’ Bradbury said while speaking to KABC.
He added: ‘Perry is heartbroken with the incident which uncovered during an event for donors. She plans on returning to the Sanctuary to visit the tigers again, once she’s released from the hospital.’ Nevertheless, WEC is home to over 50 animals, including Leopards, Birds of prey and Zebras.
