You can stop a bully with kindness!
Bethy Red, popularly known for her fashion and exercise content on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, was recently filming herself doing a workout routine at a gym when an unnamed woman began to laugh and question her. Her video [now-viral] starts with the 24-Year-Old from Chicago trying her hair up in front of the mirror.
Bethy Red was filming a fitness video for her blog when an unknown woman questioned her.
In her video, an unnamed woman was heard in the background saying: ‘Girl, what are you doing?
In the video, a large white box is overlaid to protect the other woman’s identity, who soon came up behind her. “Girl, what are you doing?” The other woman had asked while sounding shocked and confused. She went on: “Are you taking videos of yourself?”
The stranger added: “Are you taking videos of yourself?’
Bethy turns her head, simply responding, “Yes?”
Bethy was then seen as she turned her head and simply responded with: “Yeah?” Yet again, the woman sounded stunned, saying, “You are?” to which Bethy confirmed: “Yes.” The stranger continued: “Well, why?” For your documentation or what?” Bethy replied calmly and politely: “For my blog.”

The woman then laughed and said: “Well, have fun.” Bethy ignored her and turned back to the mirror to continue fixing her hair while the other woman spent this minute of silence packing her things. The stranger continued: “Well, why?” For your documentation or what?”
Bethy replied calmly and politely: “For my blog.”
One said: “I will never understand how people like this exist. Just absolute bitterness in their souls. You handled this with grace.” Another said: “This is [a] misogynistic microaggression, and she [knew] exactly what’s she was doing. Her intent was to make sure you left feeling insecure. She was projecting her jealously so well, even in the tone.”
As Bethy turned back to the mirror to continue fixing her hair, the woman sarcastically laughed.
And said: “Well, have fun,” to which Bethy thanked her.
People got angered for Bethy and condemned the stranger’s behavior in the comments.
Many commenters urged Bethy to remove the sensor and expose the woman, but she didn’t want to. She wrote: “PLEASE! Stop looking for the person!! The point of the video was that you could stop a bully with kindness! Don’t lower down to their level! Know who you are! You are more [than] just a body & how you look like!!”
