Kim Kardashian Subtly Defends Pete After Kanye’s New Music Video Sparked Backlash Online
She has officially removed “West” from her social media accounts.
Weeks ago, Kanye West released a disturbing new music video for his song “Easy,” which features rapper The Game. In the track, he had called out Pete by name and rapped: “God saved me from this crash/Just so I could beat Pete Davidson’s a**.”
A cartoon version of Pete was also seen in the video being kidnapped, decapitated, and buried alive.
It has since sparked backlash and a wave of concern from Pete’s fans, who have urged the actor to consider taking legal actions against Ye. Pete is yet to address the video, and with no social media presence, it’s uncertain if he would. The SNL deleted his new Instagram account following hateful remarks from Ye’s fans.
But thankfully, his girlfriend Kim Kardashian has subtly demonstrated her support toward him on Twitter.
It was a response to filmmaker James Gunn’s tweet, which applauded Pete’s character in light of Ye’s concerning video.
The tweet had read:
For the record, Pete Davidson is one of the nicest, sweetest guys I know. A truly generous, tender & funny spirit, he treats everyone around him with respect.

James also defended Pete further after a user tweeted back, saying: “That’s cool just because someone acts nice around you don’t mean he’s goin to be the same person all through out. People are opportunist.” In response, James wrote: “No shit. But I’ve been on set with Pete & I see how he treats all of the crew & background actors.”

“I’ve been to restaurants & see how he treats the staff. I’ve seen how he treats his longtime friends. I’ve seen how he treats fans.”

When another user shared they would “unfollow” James due to the support, he replied: “Happy to lose you.”

Several fans noticed that Kim, who hardly likes anything on Twitter, hit the heart button on James’s first tweet. And under a repost of the exchange shared by Instagram account @commentsbycelebs, Kaley Cuoco, who was rumored to be dating Pete amid filming of the upcoming movie “Meet Cute,” also commented in agreement, writing: “Fact” alongside the love emoji.
Pete has undeniably faced weeks of heated online blows from Kim’s ex-husband Kanye West, who has spent months trying to win her back with a bunch of public declarations. Ye had nicknamed Davidson “Skete” and even labeled him garbage and trash in several since-deleted Instagram posts while urging his fans to scream at him if they saw him in public.
The Donda artist even leaked a private message he had received from Pete, which saw the comedian reassuring that he wasn’t coming between his and Kim’s children.
However, shortly after the Twitter-like, Kim removed “West” from her social media profiles after a judge ruling declared her LEGALLY SINGLE.
This new status comes after a long battle with Ye, who strongly opposed the divorce, which began over a year ago. On the other hand, fans were deeply pleased to see Kim’s Twitter-like and the removal of “West from her social media platforms, considering the concern for Pete’s wellbeing and mental health has skyrocketed since Ye’s music video was released.
A fan tweeted, wishing the couple had strong support systems for what they’re experiencing.
I truly hope that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have strong support systems for what they’re experiencing. No one deserves unhinged, troubling, and emotionally abusive/harassing behavior from anyone

Another insisted that Pete Davidson deserves so much better.

Weeks before, as both Kim and Pete rang in the new year with a Bahamas vacation, the SKIMs Founder revealed a month later, during an interview with Vogue US, that she had thrown her phone into the ocean to disconnect from people and enjoy the presence of her companions: Pete and longtime friends Simon Huck and Phil Riportella.
She had recalled: “I was in the Bahamas, and the people I was with said, “We’re on f**king vacation. We haven’t been on vacation in a long time. And then they threw their phones in the ocean.”
“I was like, “what? What? What? Am I allowed to do that?” Kim added before noting she ended up chucking her phone into the waters and, as a result, had to get a new number.
In the same interview, she opened up about choosing herself and prioritizing her happiness. She gave fans rare insight into how she had been coping since her split from Ye. “I think in the last two years I decided, I’m going to make myself happy. And that feels really good. And even if that created changes and caused my divorce, I think it’s important to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy.”
“I’ve chosen myself. I think it’s okay to choose you. My 40s are about being Team Me.”
“I’m going to work out. I’m going to have more fun, spend more time with my kids and the people who make me happy. I’m going to put my phone down. Unfollow if I don’t want to see something on Instagram.” The above statement of Kim really coincided with her previous comments about what she genuinely wanted in a future relationship amid the final season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians in June.
