Jenna Bush Hager Slammed North West’s ‘Over The Top’ Birthday party
It was “extravagant upon extravagant.”
North West celebrated her ninth birthday recently, and Kim Kardashian always made sure her children’s parties were always something special from their dream. And for this year, North asked for a spooky theme, which Kim fulfilled.
But “Today” show co-host Jenna Bush Hager thought that Kim had gone overboard with the birthday bash for her daughter. The 40-year-old said, “I have a 9-year-old. She did not have a party like this. Because, y’all, this party was over the top!”
Jenna has three children with her husband, Brian Hager. Her eldest, Mila, is 9, Poppy, is 6, and Hal is 2.
Kim had posted pictures of her daughter’s “spooky wilderness-themed” birthday party on her Instagram. The 41-year-old had also invited North’s cousins Penelope Disick and Maxwell, Jessica Simpson’s daughter.
The small party took her private jet to go out camping and played all day with zip-lines, archery games, and rope courses.
Kim said on Jimmy Fallon’s show, “[North] wanted to have a spooky wilderness-themed party. I took them out camping. She’s really into special effects makeup. She does really good wounds and scars.”
“She was taking classes … and she wanted to teach her girlfriends [with mannequin heads],” shared the woman. Her private jet also had pillows that looked like wood logs and were decorated to fit the theme.
Jenna’s take was something the subbing co-host, Michelle Buteau, agreed with. She credited the “inspiration” but expressed her preference for a more “low-budget version.” She added that the party was indeed “extravagant upon extravagant.”
