“I’m 44, People Expect Women To Let Themselves Go By My Age But I Prove Them Wrong”

There’s a general mindset that women in their 40s let go of themselves. Marisela Briones isn’t in tune with the expectation and has continued to prove age is just a number while showing off her toned and youthful body on TikTok. The middle-aged creator is 44, and she’s very confident in her appearance. 

In her newest post, Briones shared what she looked like in makeup and clothes that represent her fun style and personality. Firstly, she showed off her bare face with some visible fine lines and had her slightly gray hair partially pulled back while posing in a basic navy tank top. 

Her transformation made a world of a difference in the video, which had overlaid text that read, “POV: What people think being in your 40s looks like.” 

As she waved her hand in front of the camera, the video then transitioned to Briones looking much more glamorous and youthful. She had a full face of flawless makeup, including impeccable contouring and fake eyelashes. Her hair also appeared to be freshly dyed pitch black as she posed in a strapless tube top and high-waisted, fitted green trousers.

In the transition clip, the middle-aged creator also wrote: “What 44 looks like on me.” And added in the caption: “Grateful for another year.

Her viewers were left stunned, with one writing: “I wanna look like this when I’m 44.” Another wrote: “I don’t understand why some women believe you have to dress boring after 40. Imma be just like you.” A third added: “OMG, I thought you were stunning from the beginning but then it’s just got better. Unsurprisingly, someone commented negatively. 

The comment, since deleted, read: “I’m not shading you.” Lol. I’m saying show people what real people look like without the filter with these challenges.”

Briones responded to the troll, showing off her looks again without any filters.

She looked equally beautiful in her makeup and waved hair. In the second video, the TikToker wore a sleeveless top and high-waisted jeans, which her toned stomach peeked out from between. In the caption, Briones wrote: “No filter, honey.” 44. and a mother of 7. I’m PROUD to represent the over 40 ladies of TikTok.”

The mom also urged her followers: “Let’s lift each other instead of looking for a reason to criticize.” Yet again, comments flooded the video, as someone echoed, “You look fabulous with and without a filter, mama.” A second wrote: “Thank you, sis, reppin’ for the older ladies.” We still got it!!” Someone pointed out her youthful look in both videos, writing, “The exact same. Lol.”
